Finding the cure of hemorrhoids may not be as challenging as you think because there are a lot of treatments out there that you can try right at home. You should talk to your doctor if you feel that your situation is beyond home care. He or she may have a more medically based solution for you to consider. If, however, you feel that this is something you could tackle at home, consider some of the treatment suggestions below.

Hygiene

It is important to stay as clean as possible when you have hemorrhoids because little bits of waste can make matters much worse. Clean around the anus as much as you can, but do not wipe excessively with toilet paper. Instead, blot the area down with a baby wipe or wash cloth to avoid irritation. You should shower on a frequent bass when you have hemorrhoids, but be sure to use gentle soaps that will not harm the area in any way.

Rest

Hemorrhoids need time to heal, and the only way they can do that is if you start resting more than normal. Ideally, you need to take a few days of bed rest to get better, but if that is not an option, you at least need to sleep a long time at night. This gives your body a chance to fully recover because your muscles are fully relaxed and your mind is left to focus on the healing process.

Drinking

Water is going to become an important part of the at home cure of hemorrhoids. You should drink between eight and ten glasses of water a day if you want the best results. Combine this with a diet high in fiber and you will find your bowel movements will pass much smoother from then on. The fewer complications you have with using the restroom, the better off your hemorrhoids will be. Avoid spicy foods or anything that you know will not come out well later on. Eat simple grains and meats that always sit well with your body and your hemorrhoids will be gone in no time.
